I am a wildlife and pet portrait artist living near Winchester, in Hampshire. Having grown up on a butterfly farm I have always been passionate about nature. With a BA (Hons) Degree in Scientific Illustration I worked for many years as a freelance Natural History Illustrator for publishers such as Usborne, Kingfisher and Harper Collins.

Now my more contemporary energetic style, has taken over from the detailed illustrative style. You may see examples of this in the Wildlife Gallery and Pet Gallery, and I frequently update Facebook with new artworks as I paint them.

I am delighted to undertake commissions of pet portraits, as well as wildlife. It is wonderful to capture the likeness and characteristics of animals, and receive the delighted feedback from owners. Do get in touch with me to discuss any ideas, and take time to paws in my Pet Gallery.

Travel is a great passion, during which I've gathered reference for my paintings and drawings. In Ghana, West Africa, I was the Expedition Artist for the charity Raleigh International, motivating the volunteers to paint educational murals in expedition-built schools, latrines and a day care centre. More recently I have been painting murals in local Hampshire schools, the Royal South Hants Hospital, Southampton and St Mary's Treatment Centre MIU, Portsmouth.
